Mixed Use Tower
The office cum hotel tower presents a unique aesthetic with a harmonious palette, an array of orchestrated spaces highlighted through gardens, clarity of zoning which enhances the performance and a robust cohesive structure, in a sustainable building outcome.
The design explores the juxtaposition of wrapped spaces with opened-out levels highlighted with bursts of natural greenery, to achieve the seamless coupling of curated landscape and contemporary sleek architecture. A double layered glazed skin with a random pattern of solid panel inserts wraps the structure, exploiting the city and sea views. A series of ‘floating’ transparent boxes with interspersed greenery is nestled within the exposed, main outer shell at the uppermost levels housing the hotel component and is capped off with a retreat terrace at the rooftop that combines a restaurant and an outdoor landscaped area with a pool, to provide a spectacular ‘balcony space’ with captivating sea and city views. The refuge areas are also opened-out and converted into garden spaces to offer a natural oasis for users to relax while surrounded by greenery and to host larger scale corporate events. These green, opened-out levels provide sharp relief to the glass wrapped outer envelope and softens the building facade.
A colonnaded entrance promenade fronts onto the tree lined road and acts as a natural extension of the sidewalk weaving through the building. Meandering paths are also created around the scattered spaces in the amenity levels to forge a unique spatial experience. A column free floor plate supports a flexible and versatile internal arrangement that allows multiple tenancies. Parking levels are designed to transform into creative and productive venues after hours for exhibitions and community events.
