Majestic City, Sri Lanka’s first purpose-built shopping complex, has been a defining feature of Colombo’s urban landscape since its completion in the early 1990s. For over 30 years, “MC,” as it is fondly known, served as a vibrant social hub, drawing visitors of all ages to its approachable communal spaces. 

DG5 was re-engaged to reimagine this landmark to meet the evolving needs of today’s consumers while retaining its legacy as a cultural icon. The refurbishment focuses on upgrading both the exterior and the interior to create a fresh aesthetic that seamlessly blends modernity with enduring design. An enhanced look and feel, improved facilities, services and infrastructure, as well as redefined retail and leisure spaces aim to offer an elevated experience for visitors.
