Manthri Road Residence

Combining discreet family accommodation with generous spaces for lifestyle living and entertainment, the design of the Manthri Road House in the upscale residential area of Colombo 05, balances the constraints of the linear site with the alternating requirements for privacy and transparency.

Designed around the concept of a ‘House in a Garden’, the slimline multi-storey residence is a seamless expression of relaxed living spaces merging with patches of greenery across multiple levels, within an introverted, conditioned and controlled ‘caged’ concrete envelope. The local trees, plants and vines play an integral role in the interconnected and seemingly seamless volume of space.
