Head Office Tower
Located on a T-shaped plot in the sea front development zone in the capital city, the twenty storey office tower is positioned to be the headquarters of a specialized commercial bank. The primary focus of the project was to create a progressive, creative workplace that also encapsulated the feel and belongingness of a home.
Designed as a staggered stack with subtle curved edges and interspersed garden terraces, the building creates an open, vibrant public realm enveloped in greenery, at the ground level. A colonnaded, double height entry pathway forms an inviting and transitional space drawing users into the voluminous arrival zone. The entrance lobby, leading from the arrival zone, has a strong vertical emphasis and a double height volume that leads up through a mezzanine floor to the commercial space.
The optimised geometry responds to structural efficiency, minimising energy and material consumption and affords a flexible floor plate permitting multiple tenancies. The permeable glazed building envelope ensures maximum visibility, allowing daylight to flood in and create a friendly and inviting experience.
