DHPL Head Office

Strategically located in Navam Mawatha, a key area within the burgeoning business hub of Colombo, the sixteen storeyed DHPL head office houses the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), several departments of the NDB Bank and other reputed global and local corporate and multi-lateral agencies.

Completed in 2000, the office tower, which includes a fully-fledged auditorium, executive lounge, cafeterias and multi-level parking, set a precedent in the industry by being the first high-rise office tower to be constructed entirely by a local construction firm. The building, which is partly owned by NDB, is linked to the adjacent NDB head office at the fifth-floor level by a bridge spanning across the driveways. The design, which compliments the architectural language of the NDB head office designed by DG5 a decade earlier, received recognition with the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects Design Award in the year 2000, both in the categories of Offices and Interiors.
