Bandaranaike International Airport – Phase II, Stage II
In 2015, DG5 was engaged in the Stage II of the Phase II of the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) expansion project which involved the design of a new apron with nine aircraft stands, new taxiways, passenger terminal for both arrivals and departures, renovation of the existing passenger building, eight boarding gates, and the extension of the railway line up to the cargo center. A new team of architects and engineers from Japan Airport Consultants Inc (JAC)-the third team overall-were posted at the DG5 office for a duration of four months to work closely with the in-house team.
