Aged Care Development, Australia
DG5 was engaged by a Sydney-based firm that owns and manages aged care and retirement living residences in New South Wales to provide BIM consultancy services for the design of a residential care facility located in Wycombe, Australia. The design involves a new three storeyed development with a lower ground level wrapped around a heritage building and bordered by a larger two storeyed building that collectively houses the existing facilities.
DG5’s work scope entailed creating and coordinating architectural, mechanical and lighting BIM models and generating output reports subsequent to performing clash detections. DG5 was also involved in developing the building form, conducting a 3D façade study and reviewing the façade model for conformity to the original design intent and peer reviewing the design intent of the construction drawing package.
